Tofurkey – Christmas Dinner

Tofurkey is a great plant based alternative for Turkey as your Christmas meal. Really easy to prepare, low in fat and delicious. I served this with roast veggies and a vegetable gravy. #keepingitkind
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees.
You will need to prepare a baste for the tofurkey:
1 1/2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
3 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Tbsp chopped Sage or 2 teaspoons ground Sage
Mix together well
Remove the sleeve from the tofurkey, place the roast on a sheet of foil or in a casserole dish with a tight fitting cover. Surround the roast with veggies, I used an onion and a couple of sweet potatoes. Pour 1/2 baste over the roast, wrap or cover tightly. Cook for 1 hour 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and remove the cover, pour the rest of the baste over the roast and pop back into the oven for another 15 minutes.
Slice thinly with a serrated knife, serving hot with gravy.
